This policy outlines how We Help You Finance processes personal information.
Your personal information will be collected in order to allow We Help You Finance to render the highest quality of service to you. The following information may be collected:

- Age (indirectly collected, not necessarily processed)

- Physical address
- Gender (indirectly collected, not necessarily processed)

- E-mail address
- Location information
- Property Sale Agreements and certificates pertaining to property funds advance
- Bank Guarantees
- Employer details
- Conveyancer facilitating the property transaction

Direct marketing sent via electronic communication
Direct marketing will only be undertaken in a manner which complies with the provisions of POPI. Your personal information will be collected in order to allow the Company to provide you with direct marketing materials in the event that your consent is obtained. The following information may be collected:
- E-mail address
- Name
- Telephone number
Information sharing
In processing your personal information, the Company may share it with third party processors under an operator’s agreement. These include but are not limited to:
- Payment processors;
- Email management and distribution tools;
- Data storage providers;
As an operator, these service providers will not be able to process or use your data for any reason other than to provide the service as required by us. They also need to implement proper safeguards to ensure the personal information is secured at all times.
Please note that, in accordance with POPI:
You have the right to –
- Be notified that your personal information is being collected;
- Be notified that your personal information has been accessed or acquired by an unauthorised person;
- Establish if a responsible party holds personal information of you and to request access to such personal information (a fee is payable in this regard);
- Request the correction, destruction or deletion of your personal information;
- Object on reasonable grounds to the processing of your personal information;
- Submit a complaint to the Information Regulator; and
- Institute civil proceedings to protect your personal information.
Consent
Where the legal basis for processing your personal information is consent, this consent may be withdrawn at any time, however this withdrawal of consent will not make processing undertaken prior to the withdrawal unlawful. Where the legal basis for processing is for the proper performance of agreement, and you fail to provide the Company with the information or object to the processing of your information, it may create limitations on the Company’s performance of the agreement.
Safety measures
The Company is committed to ensuring the confidentiality of your personal information. The Company will take the necessary security measures to ensure that your personal information is protected. Any operators used to collect and/or process your personal information are required to adhere to the provisions of POPI. If a data breach occurs and your data is compromised, we will notify you thereof in writing and as soon as reasonably possible.
Retention periods
POPI prescribes that your personal information may only be retained for as long as the purpose for which it was collected and/or processed permits it. However, legislation may prescribe a period longer than this. Once the retention period expires your data will be destroyed and/or deleted in the appropriate manner.
Should the information which you have provided change at any time, please obtain a correction and deletion form from the listed Information Officer below so that your information may be updated. This will help the Company ensure that the information collected and/or processed is correct and of the highest quality.
